I want to begin by thanking God for showing me the symptoms and finding it as early as was possible to do. He is the one who has made it possible for me to have hope….for He is our Healer….Redeemer…and the ONLY ONE WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE! It all began in May with me not feeling well…not eating right…blah…for about 2 weeks..so finally I went to Urgent Care and found out my bowels were backed up…and told to take Miralax…Well that didn’t work so I called my GI doctor and he put me on some other stuff….till I said hey my body needs a break..it had been a week of just torture trying to have a bowel movement!! Well then I began to itch…scratch…and my skin was turning a not too attractive yellow…a nurse and sister at my church that Sunday night … [Read more...]
Pardon Me
“O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.” Psalm 69:5 (NLT) You love Christ, but you’ve blown it. Again. Maybe it makes you wonder if this “faith life” is even possible. Or is it just for perfect people who seem to have it all together? Sometimes sin is a taboo topic, but I’m not sure why. It messes with our lives and knocks us off course. Let’s take an honest look at it, and what to do when it happens. In our key verse, King David is aware of his sin. He also knows that others are aware of his sins. That’s a hard place to be. It may make you want to run and hide. It may cause you to turn away from the love of the Savior because you feel “less than.” Despite what others believe or think about him, … [Read more...]
Believe and Receive
Isaiah 7:9 NKJV If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established. Hebrews 1:6-7 NKJV Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. “Believe” is a powerful, active word. It’s a word that establishes our trust and moves us to a place of commitment and action. To believe in God is to say that we completely entrust ourselves to His keeping. “Believe” is a two sided coin, on one side is “trust” on the other side is “commitment.” The result of our believing is our receiving. Believers become receivers, that is God’s way. Abraham did not believe God because he was justified, but … [Read more...]
Identify The Source
"Never give the devil a ride. . . . He will always want to drive. . . Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Satan uses people and circumstances, but they are not our real enemy, he is. He works through people and circumstances, then delights in watching us react without ever realizing that he is the source. Matthew 16:23 When Satan used Peter to try to prevent Jesus from going to the cross to complete the task God had sent Him to do, “Jesus turned away from Peter and said to him, “‘Get behind Me, Satan! thou are an offense to Me.” Satan used Peter, but Jesus knew … [Read more...]
What God Showed Me…And I Did!!
I just have to share what God has shown me in the last few days...and what happened to me yesterday....I read the book "The Listener" (which is mentioned in the author section)and God really spoke to my Spirit. The book is about a man who God allows to hear other peoples "soul" and what they are saying to God per se.....and the goal is for this man to tell others about Jesus...which he is reluctant to do in the beginning....and I will not say more about the book for you really need to RUN, not walk, to your library and get it TODAY! It had that much an effect on me! So yesterday is when all the following happened...I went to do laundry and when I got there it was busy...and I had forgot my change...I went home and said I will just do … [Read more...]
