Psalm 37:7 (NLT) Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act.
Psalm 37:34 (NLT) Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along His path. He will honor you by giving you the land.
“God is waiting for you to get quiet before Him- to cast aside your worries and truly seek the tranquility of His Presence. He is God the Almighty and wonderful and powerful defender and loving friend. He is the Lord who makes you whole and gives you the desires of your heart. He is waiting for your heart to be calm-for you to realize that nothing in heaven or on earth can stop Him from doing good things on your behalf. He is waiting for you, by your silence and quiet trust- to express your confidence that He will do as He promised. Today, be still before Him and know Him.
Dear God,
Silence is a challenge. Help my spirit to be calm and quiet before you so that I may know you and trust you more. Amen.” “Moments of Peace in the Presence of God” by Bethany Publishing

Yes, I think the Lord loves when we are “still”, and I think being busy and having noise is such a natural thing for us. Yet lately I find I am loving the “stillness” more and more!

At this moment of quiet I am not trying to think of anything to post but I can feel the LORDS presence surrounding me. Any negativity experienced during the noise of the morning is behind me. I have many errands and chores to accomplish today but I know just taking this time to receive the LORDS blessings will lighten my load. Thank you my friend Susan for listening to your heart to make this site available. Hoping many will find this haven to experience the LORDS love.

Being quiet period is hard for me…silence is not my style…I must have music on whether it is putting me to sleep or waking me up…so finding time to be quiet before the Lord is hard….He just reminded me of that yesterday morning…I used to get up for the day and it was sound all around me…
But yesterday I went back to bed…but not so much to sleep…but to enjoy some quiet time…to think…music off…only the clock ticking…and me and Jesus talked about a variety of things….I prayed for people…I cat napped I must admit maybe a few minutes or so……and it reminded me that I no longer do this…
So I need to change it up….it was just so nice….peaceful….loving….full of joy…time to impart wisdom to me….time to show me my strengths and my weaknesses…time with Jesus…just Him and me…a party for TWO!

One thing I have discovered about quiet time is that when you have discovered how our LORD speaks to us when we are free from distractions that you will find you want that quiet time even more. After awhile the negativity that comes at us from all directions is something that you will flee from at all times. You will want less and less of that noise around you just so you can receive that psotive flow of energy from our LORD.
