Have you ever felt that your faith is just not up to snuff? I have questioned and critiqued my own faith and compared it to others and have often found myself lacking. I have allowed lies and misperceptions to derail me. I have felt unworthy of God's amazing grace. I know in my heart that Jesus loves us right where we are at.He doesn't critique or compare us. Each Day We Are Given Choices
We can't allow any obstacle we face to overshadow our Lord or what He wants for us. It is said that what we focus on becomes our focus. I personally have had a lot of experience testing this truth out. When our focus is on Jesus and His truths it is impossible to also be focused on any negativity. The Lord and His biblical truths are the nourishment we need to feed ourselves daily. I know when I'm craving Him and His word and desire to spend time with Him, any stronghold I'm facing will lose its tight grip. Choose Not to Worry
Many Christians are familiar with Jesus' rhetorical question, " Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to this stature?" But not as many of us actually let it get into our hearts and allow the love of God to free us from our habit of worrying. The truth is , no amount of worrying can lengthen your life or add anything to your physical person. Instead worrying robs you of sleep, health and many good years.
