We get caught up in our lists, our woes, our circumstances, and our pride. We get lost in our moments, our endless to-do lists, our thoughts, and our tomorrow’s. We get ensnared by jealousy, anger, bitterness, holding grudges, and unforgiveness.
Lord, we get pulled in different directions by our flesh and our spirits. We are often easily distracted and lose our way. We are lured in by deception, quick fixes, habits, and by our own stubbornness and impatience. Lord, we are flawed and we are broken vessels. Our hopes often trickle out from the cracks. We immerse ourselves in trying to do what only YOU can achieve. We focus on the brokenness instead of focusing on You Dear Lord. We pray that through our faith and trust in You that we can untangle our souls from all that surrounds us.
Our mentality often gets absorbed by the voices around us, the white noise. We believe the harsh words that are spoken about and to us. We replay past hurts over and over. We often feel that we are damaged beyond repair, unfixable. Lord, You speak to our souls and soothe our broken hearts. You promise us a new life, a new beginning. You laid Your life upon the cross taking on all the sins of the past, present, and future sins to come. You paid the ultimate price in our place. Your love for us is pure and eternal, without conditions. We pray now, on bended knees for Your mercy and grace. We seek Your wise counsel and prevailing truths. Lord, no matter how far we have strayed, You stand still. And no matter what lies we are told, Your truths still remain steadfast. We thank You Lord for never giving up on us. Our imperfect souls have been made perfectly by You.
Philippians 3:12 (NLT) I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.
Hebrews 10:14 (NLT) For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
2 Peter 3:14 (NLT) And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT) 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Romans 5:8 (NLT) But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Our choices and perspectives, our focus, thought processes and beliefs, all have an impact upon us, some more positively than others. Yet, the Lord is a constant, He NEVER changes! His love and promises NEVER waiver! Although we are pulled in by life circumstances, tangled up in emotions and fears, the Lord’s love and truth still prevail. Let us pray to be untangled from the messes of our lives and the impact it has upon us. When we aren’t ensnared in all that surrounds us here on earth we can see with more clarity, and the shadows clouding us will drift away.
The Lord yearns for us to trust Him, no matter what! He loves us no matter how often we fall short of His Glory. A love like that can not be obtained in the flesh. The Lord’s love is pure. He has no hidden agenda. He does not deceive. His will for us is to live each day in gratitude; praising Him, praying in all circumstances and seeking His counsel, being His hands and feet upon earth, sharing His gospel with others, and trusting that He is always present. Even though we get entangled and distracted, He will never cast us aside! Even in the moments when we are angry, doubtful, or fearful, He still loves us with an unfailing love!
I am overwhelmed by these truths! I find it hard at times to fathom just how much He loves and protects me! On my worst days He still looks at me the same. In the flesh we just can’t experience the Abba, Father love He mercifully gives us each day. This is not to say we should become complacent and stop striving to be more Christ Like in every situation. We are all works in progress. We need to continually aim to keep our focus on the One that loves us beyond compare. We will all make mistakes. We will all lose sight of Him during certain times of our lives, these are just the truths of this fallen place we all dwell in. In our humanness we will all sin. The goal is to ask for His forgiveness and then lean even further into His loving arms. Our heart’s desire needs to be to obey His will, seek His wisdom from scripture, and strive to rest and be at peace in His love. There is NO condemnation in our Lord! That comes from the enemy and the lies we hold onto.
Romans 12:2 (ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
1 John 4:1 (ESV) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1 John 1:9 (ESV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 14:6 (ESV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 8:36 (ESV) So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Let us break free from that which entangles us! The Lord hears our cries! When we are struggling to break free from an ensnarement in our lives we need to remind ourselves of His unfailing, unconditional, and eternal love for us. We need to stand still and absorb His truths, speaking them out boldly, and resting in the knowledge and assurance that He will rescue us! We can break free, not in our own strength, but in His! We often get caught up in the fight, when sometimes we need to just lay it all down and patiently trust and wait upon Him. The Lord is the Ultimate Rescuer and Protector!
Psalm 91:2-3 (KJV) 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Psalm 91:14-15 (KJV) 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Psalm 124:7-8 (NIV) 7 We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare;the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) 1So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 (TLB) 11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest.
We are all imperfect, but we are also loved completely, just as we are in this very moment. NOTHING can separate us from the love of God! Let that be our focus ! Immerse yourself in that powerful truth! We can’t allow our ensnarement’s to further entangle us. Just be still. Wait upon the Lord. He will break us free in His perfect timing. Patiently wait, covered in His promises and truths.
Romans 8:35-39 (TLB) 35 Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us?
36 No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; 37 but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. 38 For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, 39 or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.
1 John 4:10 (NLT) This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Psalm 34:18 (NLT) The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
2 Corinthians 4:7 (NLT) 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.[a] This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. a. 4:7 Greek We now have this treasure in clay jars.
2 Corinthians 4:7 (AMP) 7 But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves.
Lord,
We thank You for loving us more than we can imagine! We praise Your Holy Name for the victory we live in because of You. We thank You Lord for knowing what is best for us, and for never leaving us! We are grateful Lord for Your eternal, unconditional, and unfailing love for us. You set us free Lord! Nothing can hold us down! No ensnarement is too strong for You to break! We praise You and love You Lord. We thank You for all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In Christ,
Susan
